Polara Government

The Polara is a custom 1911 built around one idea: every surface the shooter touches should do its job better than a standard pistol's. It was featured as the cover story of the March 2025 issue of GUNS Magazine. Read the full article.

The slide, front strap and backstrap all carry directional serrations. On the slide, they bite for a positive grip when racking. On the frame, they're angled to seat the pistol deeper into the shooter's hand with each shot. The monolithic tri-top slide carries the Polara serration pattern and finishes in a heavy muzzle bevel. Inside is a spiral-fluted bull barrel with a flush-cut, deep-crowned muzzle and a keyed recoil spring plug for a clean appearance.

The thumb safety and slide stop come from our Hellcat series and are built for positive operation under hard use, even with gloves. Multi-colored Shredder™ grips, made from a resin infused with copper, aluminum and other materials, give aggressive traction that's still comfortable in the hand, along with a distinctive, almost iridescent finish.

The Polara is finished in stainless steel or black niride, with a contrasting TiN or DLC coated barrel and controls. Cerakote, nickel boron and bluing are available on request. Government and Commander models are offered in .45 ACP, 9mm, .38 Super and 9x23.
