The Hellcat X2 Government

The Hellcat X2 puts Guncrafter's signature innovations into a double-stack 2011 built for defensive carry. Seventeen rounds of 9mm ride in a steel frame that still comes in at 32 ounces unloaded, thanks to an aluminum grip that keeps the extra width from ever feeling like a compromise.

The BattleCrown™ heavy-duty bushing protects the muzzle while the FRAG pattern carries over onto the grip and mainspring housing for a hold that won't shift under recoil. Front and rear cocking serrations, ball-end mill cuts, and a flush-cut, deep-crowned barrel round out a slide that's been dehorned and lightened without giving up strength. The paneled slide is a Guncrafter signature aesthetic that reduces weight and adds texture for use under stress.

The double-stack magazine is where the 2011 platform earns its keep. Seventeen rounds of 9mm in a gun this size means fewer reloads without moving up to a bigger, bulkier pistol, and the aluminum grip module keeps those extra rounds from adding real weight to the package. At 32 ounces unloaded, the X2 carries closer to a steel-frame Commander than to most of the double-stack guns it's compared against.
