Model 2 .50 GI™

The Model 1 proved a half-inch bullet could run in a Government-size 1911. The Model 2 makes it more comfortable to shoot.

The key is where the weight sits. A rakish monolithic slide and a full-length light bearing dust cover carry steel all the way to the muzzle, right over the bore. When the .50 GI™ fires, that forward mass resists muzzle rise and now shoots even softer. The front sight comes back on target faster, follow-up shots come quicker, and the gun stays settled in your hands in rapid fire.

Under the added steel, it's pure Model 1. The frame and slide are forged. The hammer, sear and disconnector are fully machined from tool steel, and the slide stop is cut from bar stock. The barrel is heavy, match-grade stainless. Every Model 2 gets our extreme reliability work, a full dehorn and a black Nitride finish. It's built by hand, and it's built to run.
